Brandi + Vince {Married}

In her words:

Vince and I met at a lounge/restaurant on his birthday. The place was across from his work. I happened to be in the area for a legal conference. My friends took me there afterward. We walked in and Vince was there with all of his work friends. I saw that he was tall, handsome, wearing a suit, laughing and having fun w his friends. I tried to get my friend to talk to him bc I thought he was a catch. She didn’t want to. I got up and went to the bathroom and caught him eyeing me. We smiled at each other. I went back to my friends and he went w his. At some point we were both outside and i told him Happy Birthday. He asked how i knew and i said, the whole place sang to you when they brought your cake out.

As I was leaving to go home, he stopped me and asked if I was leaving so soon? I told him I had to work the next day. He gave me his card and asked if he could take me to dinner. I said yes and that I would email him. We emailed and realized we lived 2 blocks from each other and both had moved to nyc from FL. We even had friends in common and had been to the same events but missed each other. We dated and the rest is history…

I really love his reaction from the first time he saw her!

It is always great to have clients come back and ask you to photograph important events in their lives. This was the case with Melissa and Guillermo. Not only was I honored to capture their wedding, do their pregnancy photos, but I was also hired to take pictures of their first child’d baptism.

This is Melissa’s grandfather. I love the intense look on his face! Making sure he got the shot!

This is Melissa’s sister. I was also photographed her wedding and her son’s baptism!

Rex {portait of a dog}

Sometimes, all you need is window light and a white background.

It is easy to forget how representative of our own humanity can a pet companion be. I was having a discussion with a friend recently, and we where able to point out several cases of how our dogs can be  mirrors of ourselves. Not only physically  which is what most people think about, but also emotionally. To me, this simple souls, can actually be quite complex. Yes, I do believe they have feelings, and can sometimes understand our own feelings as well. And without sounding too corny, I ham of the opinion, that we don’t choose our dogs, our dogs choose us.

Say “hi” to REX.
